It’s lovely to sit in the sun in summer, but it’s even lovelier to seek out the cool shade on a hot summer’s day. But a parasol that gets in the way isn’t very practical; a single pole right in the middle of your patio, not to mention that heavy parasol base. In that case, a floating awning might be just the thing for you!  

Repels sun and rain, attracts people 

The awning itself is made from 160g/m² polyester with a PU coating. Polyester is, of course, a super-strong material in its own right, but thanks to the PU coating, the fabric is also water-repellent and quick-drying.  

This means you can stay nice and dry on your patio even during a spring shower! 

There is a stainless steel fixing hook at each corner of the triangle. Not only does this ensure the fabric is securely fastened, but your shade sail will still look as good as new even after years of use. 

Shade sail with UV protection 

We mustn’t forget the damage the sun can cause to our skin. A tomato today, a chocolate tomorrow? It doesn’t quite work like that, so it’s better to seek shade regularly.  

The shade cloth blocks 90% of UVA and UVB rays – in other words, all types of UV light that pass through the ozone layer and reach your skin.  

Thanks to the 90% UV protection, your skin isn’t exposed to the full intensity of UV light. So you’ll still get a bit of a tan in the shade, whilst significantly reducing the risk of skin damage.

Well, a shade sail is ideal for creating a cool, cosy spot on your patio. But with a bit of imagination, you can use this sail for so much more!

This shade sail comes in a handy carry bag along with everything you need to hang it up. 

These include: 

• Eyelet plates 
• Tensioning screws  
• Carabiner 
• And all the screws you’ll need, of course! 

You’ll also receive three 2-metre lengths of guy rope. If you use these to secure the shade sail, you can use the ropes to pull the fabric taut.  

Suppose you’ve secured one of the corners of the sail to a wooden post or something similar; you can then reinforce that post with the ropes, just like a guy rope that keeps a tent in place!

Our request regarding your shade sail 

!Please note! Always position two corners of the sail higher than the third corner.  

As the fabric is waterproof, rainwater must roll off the sloping edge of the fabric.  

If the sheet hangs level, the water will collect in the centre of the sheet, forming a small floating pool until the attachment points give way under the weight.
