This is now possible with the smart motion sensor with temperature and humidity meter from Silvergear! This sensor, which you link to the special Smart Life app, gives you real time information about the air quality and temperature in your home. Thanks to the motion sensor you can also set this tool, in combination with our other Smart Home products, to turn on the thermostat when you come home, or turn it off when you leave the house. A sustainable choice!

The ideal humidity...

...Is between 40 and 60 percent indoors. To ensure a healthy living environment for yourself and your family, it is important to stay within this range. Low humidity in the air can cause respiratory problems, dry eyes, dry skin and irritated throat and nasal passages. If the humidity is too high, it can have a negative effect on your house and furniture. For instance, mould develops, window frames and wooden furniture swell and parquet floors can be damaged.

A shame! Especially when you consider that the air humidity in your house is easy to measure with this multi sensor. Based on the information the sensor gives you, you can then take any necessary steps. When the concentration of water vapour is too low, you can for instance buy a humidifier. If the water vapour concentration is too high, a dehumidifier can be a solution.
